Juicy, crisp, sweet, in the most dazzling colors, full of vitamins and sunshine – the world of fruits impresses with its diversity.
The exhibition “Fruity!” presents over 40 works, all sharing a common motif: fruit. The selection comes from the specialized private collection of Heidelberg entrepreneur Dr. Rainer Wild.
It includes renowned artists of the 20th/21st century; the focus of the selection for Offenburg is on contemporary art in the collection.
The exhibition is a multifaceted journey of discovery, exploring native and exotic fruits from apples to lemons, as well as artistic techniques ranging from painting and drawing to sculpture, installation, and video. Even within this seemingly “light” theme, social commentary can be found. Thus, the thematic exhibition offers a colorful and sensual, yet also profound, insight into the artistic exploration of this subject.
