DE SINGEL, Antwerp presents the premiere of Anthea Hamilton’s Othello: A Play – the artist’s first stage performance alongside long-term collaborator Delphine Gaborit. This new creation marks a new and ambitious key moment in Hamilton’s career, further expanding the performative possibilities of her sculptural and installation practice.
Presented as part of Come Closer: Encounters in Sculpture and Performance: a collaboration between Middelheimmuseum and DE SINGEL international arts centre gathering artists working across disciplines to explore the space between sculpture and performance art.
