The Advisory Council of the Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (ivam) has approved granting the 2024 Julio González International Prize to the artist simone fattal (Damascus, 1942) for her contribution to contemporary art. On the occasion of the award, the IVAM is preparing an exhibition, curated by Nuria Enguita and Rafael Barber, which reviews the main lines of work of this Franco-Lebanese creator.

Simone Fattal receives an award that recognizes her contribution to contemporary sculpture. “I feel honored and grateful that the IVAM has awarded me the Julio González award,” declared the artist who finds a strong link between her work and that of the sculptor in the way of understanding abstraction.
